| Inhalt der Mitteilung: | I had the opportunity to visit the camp in the spring of 1988. My visit to the camp touched me deeply. Reading about the camp in high school was far different than actually visiting it. If everyone had to visit the camp and watch the movie maybe then we could stop it from ever happening again. I was horrified at how they were treated, I was horrified that evil could exist. Unfortunately evil still exist in this day and age and it probably always will. Thank you for the opportunity to see the camp and share my knowledge with others. I have put together an album for my children to take to school and share with others. When he approached me I learned that he was in the 7th Army, and was infact one of liberators of the camp. Thanks for the history lesson. I will be passing this site onto my family. |

A trench about eight ft. wide eight ft. deep and long, as far as the eye could see filled with nude bodies. On one side stood many bulldozers with blades bigger than I've ever seen to push the bodies in the hole faster, because the Americans were coming. We in America have never experienced atrocities such as what happened at Dachau or any other concentration camp. We liberated Dachau. We Americans have a lot to be thankful for. God Bless America. |
